FROM SOCCER FIELDS TO ICE TRACKS
Kenny entered Canada's bobsleigh community after coming from a competitive soccer background. With dreams of playing at a high level, he pushed through multiple knee injuries and long rehab processes while continuing to chase opportunities.
His last soccer stint took him to Sintra, Portugal, where he was on trial with 1º Dezembro FC in 2020. When COVID cases rose and borders shut down, he was forced to return to Canada. Still driven to compete, Kenny began searching for a new challenge.
That search led him to the Canadian Bobsleigh Prospect Camp in October 2021, where he advanced through the selection process and earned an invite to Whistler. Another setback followed when a knee injury required surgery, preventing him from racing that season.
Despite the setback, Kenny discovered a deep passion for bobsleigh and committed himself to the long road back. Staying healthy and focused, he was named to the National Bobsleigh Program for the first time in 2022, where he continues to develop as an athlete.
Kenny credits his parents; especially his father as his greatest inspiration. Witnessing their sacrifices, resilience, and perseverance has shaped his own no-quit mindset and continues to drive him toward his goals.
